How we educate your children

Through observation, considered and sensitive adults decide when it is best to teach and when it is best to stand back and allow the child to discover something themselves.

Montessori teachers never dominate the learning environment and as a result, children are continuously engaged and motivated to follow their interests. We allow children the time and space to become absorbed in their own learning and support them on that journey.

The essential knowledge, skills, values, and experiences all children gain whilst with us become a part of the foundation of their future successes. Our Spaces

Our beautiful nursery spaces are designed and organised so children can be independent, lead their own learning and have a sense of belonging. They make choices about the resources they want to use, whether to be inside or outside and when to stop for a snack.

Each classroom is divided into areas. Practical life gives the children the opportunity to practice the skills of everyday life and helps them to develop concentration and supports physical development, coordination of mind and body, communication, and language.

Our Activities

The sensorial materials support children to use their senses to learn and develop their understanding of the world. Through these materials, they are encouraged to order and classify the physical properties of the world we live in.

The materials for mathematics help the children to learn and really understand mathematical concepts using concrete materials. The foundations for children to read and write are nurtured from the minute they come into the nursery.

They are supported in their communication, language, and literacy development through all areas of the curriculum. Geography, history, biology, botany, zoology, music, dance, art, and creativity are explored with a hands-on approach, based on the fact that children learn and design most effectively from their own experiences whilst being encouraged to be expressive.

We do all this whilst carefully supporting children’s emotional literacy and well being supporting their personal, social, and emotional development.
